Prachtig, veelzijdig, confronterend en enorm boeiend! Een fantastische ervaring was het! Via het Belgische 'Beyond Borders' boekten wij de 'Oeganda Classic XL' bij Kigezi Vima Safaris. Martin was onze ervaren en uitstekende gids/chauffeur, wij zijn hem heel dankbaar dat hij ons zo grondig liet kennismaken met dit prachtige land. De indrukwekkende natuur met uitgestrekte savannes en wildlife, de gastvrije bevolking, de lokale waarden en gebruiken, maar ook de erbarmelijke arbeidsomstandigheden van velen en de armoede, ... het kwam allemaal aan bod. Fantastische organisatie Reward en Gerald hebben ons in 18 dagen tijd heel Oeganda laten zien. Het was fantastisch! Kigezi Vima regelt echt alles voor je. En meer. Uganda via Beyond Borders Under guidance of the amazing guides Reward and Gerald, we had the most incredible holiday ever in Uganda. The country has so much nature and culture to show and these guides allowed us to truly experience the miracle that is The Pearl Of Africa. Everything was taken care of and the slightest inconveniences were solved at top speed. Uganda Beyond Expectations We had a great experience exploring Uganda with Gerald as our guide. Throughout the trip, he shared a lot of knowledge about the wildlife, nature, culture and history of Uganda, which really added value to the experience. He was always friendly, professional and happy to answer our many questions. As photographers, we especially appreciated that he understood our interest in wildlife and was patient whenever we wanted to spend some extra time observing animals or taking photos. Uganda itself exceeded our expectations. The landscapes are incredibly diverse, the wildlife is amazing, and the gorilla trek was an unforgettable highlight. The pearl of Africa with Gerald We have just returned from an incredible 19-day journey through Uganda with a jeep with 3 other people, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived in Entebbe until our departure, every day brought new adventures, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable wildlife encounters. What truly made this trip exceptional, however, was our guide GERALD . His professionalism, extensive knowledge, and genuine passion for Uganda made all the difference. He shared fascinating information about the wildlife, local cultures, history, and nature, while always making sure we felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. His driving skills on both paved roads and challenging tracks were outstanding, and he always knew the best places and perfect timing for wildlife sightings. Thanks to his keen eye, we were fortunate enough to see an amazing variety of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos, chimpanzees, golden monkeys, and the unforgettable mountain gorillas. He was always patient, flexible, cheerful, and willing to go the extra mile to make every day special. The lodges throughout the trip were excellent, each offering a unique atmosphere and warm hospitality. The entire journey was perfectly organized, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy everything Uganda has to offer. Uganda truly deserves its nickname, “The Pearl of Africa.” We leave with wonderful memories, thousands of photos, and a deep appreciation for this beautiful country and its people. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic African adventure. Unforgettable 20 days. Countless kilometers. Endless energy. One unforgettable experience. Dear Reward, our guide, driver, problem solver… and by now, our friend, For 20 days, you safely guided us through the incredible beauty of Uganda. Along roads we never imagined existed and distances that looked short on the map but turned out to be a real experience. Luckily, there was always your favourite word: “Energy!” And honestly… sometimes we had a little less energy than you did! But somehow, you always managed to keep us going with your smile, your positivity and your endless enthusiasm. Everything was part of the experience—and thanks to you, we actually started believing it! Whenever someone couldn’t join an activity, you never saw a problem. You always found the best solution or a great alternative, making sure everyone could enjoy the journey in their own way. And of course, after another adventurous day, an ice-cold Nile beer was often the perfect way to recharge our… energy! 🍺 For many of us, you helped make a lifelong dream come true: seeing the mountain gorillas in the wild. A huge bucket-list item has now been proudly checked off, and those memories will stay with us forever. The last three days were different because, unfortunately, your health forced you to stay behind. But even then, you never really left us. You kept travelling with us through your messages, your care and your commitment to making sure everything went well. That says everything about the kind of person you are. Thank you for your patience, your kindness, your flexibility, your safe driving, your great sense of humour, your positive spirit, and of course… your endless energy. Over the top amazing Gorilla trek Reward at Kigezi Vima Safaris is a competent and professional organizer. Flawless arrangement of a Gorilla Trek. Our driver Gerard was amazing company and safe smooth driver. Our Gorilla trek was over the top and was better than the highest of expectations. We have done many safaris in various African National parks including Serengeti, Kruger, Etosha, Ngorongoro and it is always fantastic but nothing beats this experience of spending a full hour with Mountain Gorillas. Most amazing trip in Uganda “What an amazing, intense, and extraordinary three weeks in Uganda.” I did a solo trip booked with beyond borders. I had “Ezera” From kigezi vima safaris as my personal guide. He showed me Uganda in all its glory. We had a lot of fun, he told me so many things. It was almost as we were family. I love Uganda. Thank you all for this amazing experience!!
